Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in a student home, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of ~8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising and mentoring, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Relocation assistance provided
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
