Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to care for a small group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent arrangement with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pets limited to fish and one dog of approved breeds
