Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents located on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA (actual location Bedford, IN in listing) oversee 8–13 students per home, provide supervision, mentorship, and student programming, manage household routines and budgeting, administer medications, transport students to activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Requires both spouses to be legally married for at least two years, age 27+, and agreement to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty; includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and housing. The role transitions from initial nine-on/four-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent assignment living with the same group of students in their own home; valid driver’s license and ability to driving student vans required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated ability to live and work in a two-person couple home with students
