Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School's campus in student homes to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent living with the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
