Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles on Milton Hershey School’s campus oversee a group of 8–13 students in a family-style home. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students daily, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, facilitating daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a safe, structured living environment. The position begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule and transitions to living with the same student group in a placed houseparent assignment; candidates must be married couples, meet age and licensing requirements, and be prepared for relocation to Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapels (Judeo-Christian)
