Job Summary
Two-person, full-time on-campus Flex Houseparent role for married couples to live with and supervise a group of approximately 8–13 Milton Hershey School students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle to a steady placed houseparent placement. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid training, and PTO. Requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license, with additional constraints around age, marital status (two-year married couples), number of dependents, and campus policies on smoking, weapons, and alcohol.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to reside on-campus and participate in a 9-on/3-off schedule (eventual transition to placed houseparent)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proselytizing prohibited in religious activities (daily devotions and chapel)
