Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents on a campus-based program. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students per home, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes, then transitions to a placed houseparent assignment with the same group of students. On-site relocation to Hershey, PA is provided with comprehensive benefits and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a legally married two-year commitment from both spouses who must be at least 27 years old; two-person, couple-based employment applications are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to lead students in devotions and chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
