Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role as Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in an on-campus student home in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship of 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, supervising budgeting and generating household reports. Initially, schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive health/retirement benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Pro-social and professional behavior for role model duties
