Job Summary
Two-person, fully on-campus residential role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and development support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle to a Placed Houseparent assignment living with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided along with comprehensive benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
