Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and daily care for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions to living with the same group of students as a Placed Houseparent; relocation assistance and paid training are provided. Requires youth-experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and being legally married for at least two years (both spouses age 27+). Role emphasizes a structured, family-like, faith-aligned environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
