Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist (Part-Time) at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County in Lewisville, TX. Responsible for safety practices, front desk operations, program quality, and administrative duties; duties include de-escalating conflicts, ensuring proper member check-in/out using childcare systems, maintaining data accuracy, delivering and promoting youth-focused programming, and upholding organizational safety policies. Requires CPR and First Aid certification, a high school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred), at least 6 months of youth experience, and availability 2pm–7pm Monday–Friday (and up to 37.5 hours/week in summer).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience working with youth
- Available to work between the hours of 2pm-7pm Monday – Friday during school year; up to 37.5 hours per week during summer Monday - Friday
- Ability to be a positive role model
- Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
- Ability to relate to at-risk youth
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
