Job Summary
Supervise students in classrooms and educational settings while reinforcing academic and behavioral expectations. Build strong, trusting relationships with children and adolescents to support their academic, social, and emotional growth. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and counselors to implement individualized learning plans and monitor student progress. Facilitate character-building activities, after-school programs, and co-curricular events that foster resilience and leadership. Document observations to inform interventions and model respectful, inclusive behavior in alignment with the school's mission. This full-time on-site role in Hershey, Pennsylvania, supports a team dedicated to trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices for students from pre-K through 12th grade.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with youth in educational, residential, or community-based programs
- Understanding of child and adolescent development
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to de-escalate challenging situations
- Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
- Full-time employment
- On-site work environment in Hershey, Pennsylvania
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in education, social work, psychology, or a related field
- Youth development or teaching certifications
- CPR/First Aid training
- Crisis intervention training
