Job Summary
Supervise students in classrooms and educational settings while reinforcing academic and behavioral expectations. Build strong, trusting relationships with children and adolescents to support their academic, social, and emotional growth. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and counselors to implement individualized learning and behavior support plans, monitoring progress and documenting observations. Facilitate character-building activities, after-school programs, and co-curricular events that foster resilience and leadership. De-escalate challenging situations using trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices within a safe, structured environment. This full-time on-site role in Hershey, Pennsylvania, contributes to a mission-driven culture focused on holistic student development.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to de-escalate challenging situations
- Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
- Prior experience working with youth in educational, residential, or community-based programs
- Understanding of child and adolescent development
- Minimum of a H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Full-time employment based on campus in Hershey, Pennsylvania
- Primarily on-site work environment
- Availability for occasional flexible hours to support evening or weekend student activities
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in education, social work, psychology, or a related field
- Youth development or teaching certifications
- CPR/First Aid training
- Crisis intervention training
