Youth Development Professional - Youth (K-7th Grade)

Job Summary
Plan, implement, and supervise activities for youth in Character Leadership, E-Sports, Music Studios, and Creative Arts programs. Establish rapport with K-7th grade members to provide mentoring, guidance, and role modeling while ensuring consistent attendance and engagement. Facilitate purposeful group projects, monitor program safety and quality, and submit regular lesson plans and attendance sheets. Maintain daily cleaning and close down procedures, participate in staff meetings, and collaborate with volunteers and supervisors to address issues. This part-time role requires a high school diploma, two years of relevant experience, and CPR/First Aid certification. Applicants must pass a level 2 background check and drug test.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience
- Valid State Driver's License
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
- Experience in working with children and knowledge of youth development
- Experience and ability in creating interactive and educational activities
- Strong Organization, Time Management Skills and ability to set Priorities
- Obtain strong Work Ethic, Positive Attitude, High Level of Energy and Flexibility
- Strong communication, Interpersonal skills, and Attention to Detail
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- Must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
- Required to stand, walk, and sit
- Able to use hands and fingers on a (computer) keyboard and other office equipment
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds during a standard 4 or 8 hour shift
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Perform Safety-sensitive culture requiring a constant state of alertness
- Must pass level 2 employment screening in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes
- Must execute Consent to Background Screening form and submit fingerprints for level 2 screening
- Must report to a designated location for level 2 screening
- Must wait for level 2 screening results to be received, reviewed, and approved by the Office of Human Resources before employment
