Job Summary
Establish weekly and monthly program calendars consistent with organizational goals, then develop detailed schedules for site activities while maintaining updated staff notebooks. Register new members, conduct orientations, and provide guidance and role modeling to ensure safe participation in academic, athletic, and artistic programs. Effectively implement and administer drop-in services, monitor facility safety and appearance, and continuously evaluate programs to respond to member needs. Participate in special events, assist with team program delivery, and drive the Club van as directed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to minimum of 2 years
- Knowledge of youth development
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- Ability to handle interactions with the public
- Knowledge of computer and data entry
- Ability to provide science and technology programs for children ages 5-8, 9-12, and 13-18
- Must be able to work daily afternoon/evening hours
- Occasional weekend hours
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25lbs
