Job Summary
Youth Development Professional responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on programs that support the three priority outcomes of Boys & Girls Clubs: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship. Serve as the primary contact for member engagement in a safe, inclusive environment; prepare and facilitate activities by reading lesson plans, organizing materials, and guiding day-to-day program activities; foster participation, provide constructive feedback, and develop youth skills; maintain group safety, mentor youth, and enforce child safety policies; may oversee special programs and drive the Club van as needed; requires high school diploma and experience with children; strong teamwork, reliability, and punctuality are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Some experience working with children
- Previous experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities with groups of young people is strongly preferred
- Must be able to relate to young people and control a classroom while ensuring activities remain fun and engaging
- Teamwork skills, patience, and creativity are essential
- Must be reliable and punctual—members will be counting on you
