Job Summary
Youth Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County is responsible for helping to implement programs and activities that drive Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship. Duties include planning and implementing youth activities, managing program supplies/equipment, supervising youth in a safe and engaging environment, facilitating sports, STEM, and arts activities, food-safety in snack prep, using trauma-informed practices, supporting membership enrollment, ensuring safety and adherence to BGCSC policies, maintaining club spaces, and performing other duties as assigned by the Unit Director. Required attributes include being 16 or older, reliability in fast-paced settings, flexibility for seasonal hours, ability to pass drug tests and background checks, physical capability to stand/walk and lift up to 20 lbs, and a preference for experience with youth or early childhood education.
Required Qualifications
- Sixteen (16) years of age or older
- Ability to pass a drug test upon hire
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with BGCSC standards upon hire
- Ability to walk or stand constantly with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to use fine motor movements with or without reasonable accommodation
- Flexibility to work different hours based on seasonal and operational needs
- Prior experience working with youth or a background in early childhood education preferred
