Job Summary
Youth Development Professional focused on supporting the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program for children ages 6–12 at Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Delacare/state licensing, assisting the program director in delivering age-appropriate activities aligned with the club’s five core program areas and Youth Development Strategy, maintaining safe program operations and facilities, supervising children within licensing guidelines, fostering productive relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors, and acting as a positive role model while upholding club policies and Delaware STARS/OCCL requirements. The role also involves general tasks as needed and potential statewide travel for training. Required certifications include School Age Site Assistant/Coordinator levels and First Aid/CPR, with background checks and driving capability for higher levels.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older (Level I)
- School Age Site Assistant Certificate
- First Aid/ CPR Certification (or complete within 2 months)
- School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Department of Education (Level II)
- School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education (Level III)
- Ability to pass FBI clearance and background checks as per Delaware OCCL and Delacare regulations
- Ability to drive an 8-passenger van (for Level II/III)
- Possession of valid driver's license with points <5 (for Level II/III)
- Ability to perform duties in indoors and outdoors environments
- Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
