Job Summary
Youth Development Professionals provide daily programs, services, and activities for Club members in alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. Responsibilities include creating an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes, promoting program participation, registering new members and assisting with orientation, delivering program development and implementation for drop-in members and visitors, monitoring safety and quality of programs, preparing daily activity reports, participating in weekly unit staff meetings, and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires high energy, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate youth and manage behavior, and the capability to work with diverse populations; CPR and First Aid are a plus and occasional driving for club activities may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience in working with children
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus
- Valid identification
