Job Summary
Youth Development Professionals are responsible for providing daily programs, services and activities for Club members aligned with the organization’s youth development mission. They create an environment that facilitates positive outcomes, promote program participation, register new members and participate in club orientation, provide guidance and role modeling, implement and supervise programs, monitor safety and program quality, prepare daily activity reports, participate in staff meetings, and may drive for club activities. Must be able to work in a high-energy, child-centric environment, with the ability to motivate youth, manage behavior, interact with the public, and coordinate with staff and volunteers. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus; requires high school diploma or GED and being 18 or older; weekend availability may be required. This role is part-time with variable hours during school year and summer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience in working with children
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus
