Job Summary
Part-time Youth Development Professional at the Boys & Girls Club responsible for delivering daily programs and activities for club members in alignment with the organization’s youth development mission. Responsibilities include preparing youth for success, promoting program participation, registering new members and facilitating orientation, providing guidance and role modeling, developing and implementing programs for drop-in members and visitors, monitoring safety and quality of programs, preparing daily activity reports, participating in weekly staff meetings, and participating in special programs/events. May drive for club activities. Requires high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, experience with children, knowledge of youth development, ability to motivate youth and manage behavior, and strong communication; CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus. Regular local travel may be required; physical energy and ability to work in a dynamic, multi-faceted environment are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience in working with children
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus
- Valid identification
