Youth Development Professional

Job Summary
Youth Development Professionals provide daily programs and activities for Club members aligned with the organization's youth development mission. Responsibilities include promoting program participation, registering new members, and participating in club orientation; offering guidance and role modeling to members. They develop and implement programs for drop-in members and visitors, monitor and evaluate programs for safety and quality, prepare daily activity reports, and participate in weekly Unit staff meetings. May participate in special programs/events and may be required to drive for Club activities. Must work in a high-energy club environment with children, requiring strong interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate youth, manage behavior, and ensure a safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience in working with children
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus
- Valid identification
