Youth Development Professional

Job Summary
Youth Development Professionals provide daily programs and activities for Club members at a Boys & Girls Club, build positive relationships with youth, and support youth well-being on and off Club premises. Responsibilities include preparing youth for success, promoting program participation, registering new members and guiding orientation, developing and implementing programs for drop-in members and visitors, monitoring safety and program quality, and preparing daily activity reports. The role requires motivating youth, supervising groups in a safe environment, participating in staff meetings, potential driving for club activities, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. CPR/First Aid knowledge is a plus; a high school diploma or GED and being 18 or older are required. Regular local travel may be required and weekends could be involved depending on scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience in working with children
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus
- Valid identification
