Job Summary
Youth Development Professional at Boys & Girls Club provides daily programs and activities for Club members in alignment with the organization’s youth development mission. Responsible for guiding and role-modeling for members, promoting program participation, registering new members, developing and implementing programs, ensuring safety and quality of services, and participating in staff meetings. May drive for club activities periodically. Requires a high school diploma or GED, must be 18 or older, experience with children, knowledge of youth development, ability to motivate youth and manage behavior, strong public interaction skills, organizational and supervisory abilities, and CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus. Regular part-time schedule with variability by season; travel within local area possible.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience in working with children
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus
- Valid identification
