Job Summary
Plan, implement, and supervise youth development activities for assigned programs to achieve predetermined outcomes. Deliver engaging group activities, recreational programs, and lectures while managing member behavior and ensuring safety. Administer formal and informal assessments, gather data, and track participation goals against logic models. Maintain compliance with state licensing, background screening, and federal regulations. Build trusting relationships with children, parents, and volunteers while fostering a safe, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children in a group setting
- Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services Medical Examination Report for Caregivers and Staff
- TB Risk Assessment and Examination
- Annual results of Family Care Safety Registry background screening
- Annual results of nationwide background screening
- Meets qualifications and ongoing training requirements per state licensing regulations (12 hrs. annually)
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or roll up to 20-25 pounds
- Capable of prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing, walking, and speaking and occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching and working in front of a PC monitor
- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word as well as convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly in addition to perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication and make fine discriminations in sounds

- Types accurately, enters information into a computerized system, and uses database management software specific to membership management provided by BGCSTL
- Speaks clearly and professionally in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; respond well to questions; participates in meetings
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, colleagues, parents, members, professional medical staff, volunteers, school/district personnel, and other community members
- Knowledgeable about member rights

Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree from accredited college or university or BA/BS
- Management experience
- Prior computer/PC experience using other word processing and presentation software and database management systems
- Microsoft Office programs
