Job Summary
Plan, implement, and supervise youth development activities within the Red Shield Youth Centers, prioritizing Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character, and Citizenship. Promote program participation, assist with member registration and orientation, and provide guidance and role modeling. Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure safety and quality, prepare activity reports, and assist with outreach efforts. Safely transport members and staff to school and activities, manage passenger behavior, and report vehicle maintenance needs. Maintain facility and equipment in good working order while adhering to all Centers policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must possess a clear driving record
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to deal comfortably with stressful situations
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to complete tasks in a safe and effective manner
- Ability to interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner
- Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints
- Ability to work sitting, standing and walking on a frequent change basis
