Job Summary
Plan, implement, and supervise youth development activities within specific program areas, promoting participation and building professional relationships with centers members and families. Provide guidance and role modeling to youth while monitoring program quality and safety. Assist with member registration, orientation, and outreach efforts to sustain program growth. Oversee special events such as Youth of the Year awards or provide supervision oversight to other professionals when the Program Coordinator is absent. Safely transport members and staff to and from school and activities, managing passenger behavior and ensuring compliance with state regulations and behavioral standards. Prepare periodic activity reports and address vehicle maintenance needs. Requires a valid driver's license, clear driving record, and ability to handle stressful situations in indoor and outdoor recreational environments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record
- If required, may have to possess a CDL level license
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints
- Ability to deal comfortably with stressful situations and follow emergency procedures
- Ability to multi-task, ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a safe and effective manners
- Ability to interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner
