Job Summary
Plan, implement, and supervise youth development activities supporting Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character, and Citizenship outcomes. Promote program participation, assist with member registration and orientation, and provide guidance and role modeling. Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure safety, quality, and branch appearance while preparing periodic activity reports. Implement outreach efforts to sustain membership and oversee special events such as Youth of the Year and Awards Programs. Conduct member transportation safely in accordance with state and organizational regulations, managing passenger behavior and ensuring compliance with behavioral standards. Maintain accurate transportation records, verify vehicle maintenance and cleanliness, and account for all children before and after departure. This role requires a valid driver's license (CDL if required), strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in indoor and outdoor recreational environments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record
- If required, may have to possess a CDL level license
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints
- Ability to deal comfortably with stressful situations and follow emergency procedures
- Ability to multi-task, ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a safe and effective manners
- Ability to interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner
