Job Summary
Youth Development Professional focused on executing and supervising program activities within Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Centers, promoting Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character. Responsibilities include planning and implementing programs, overseeing activities and events (e.g., Youth of the Year/Month programs), supervising other staff as needed, assisting with member registration and orientation, providing guidance and role modeling, and ensuring safe, engaging environments for members in both indoor and outdoor recreational settings. Requires ability to work under deadline pressure, read and write English effectively, and maintain professional relationships with members and families; may require driving and potential CDL qualification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record. If required, may have to possess a CDL level license.
