Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate life skills programming while collaborating with the Youth Development Team and volunteer partners to coordinate agency-wide events and workshops. Manage the Restorative Justice Practice and LGBTQ initiatives, including convening the weekly Gender and Sexuality Alliance, organizing Pride Month activities, and strengthening partnerships with LGBTQ-affirming non-profits. Facilitate new resident orientation, maintain the youth events calendar, and regularly promote programs to motivate participation. Provide staff coverage for nightly activities, de-escalate conflicts using non-violent intervention, and instruct youth on the organization's mission and principles. Work collaboratively to ensure opportunities for growth and development are available to all CHNY youth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of Youth Development experience
- Flexible schedule
- ability to work evenings
- ability to work weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in providing program support for a childcare non-profit organization
- Bilingual
