Job Summary
Supervise, develop, and implement programs across five core areas including character development, education, the arts, health, and recreation while maintaining club safety, security, and facility upkeep. Coordinate spontaneous recreational activities, manage recreation equipment, and assist in planning academic enrichment. Provide direction for volunteers, work with staff and parents to address disciplinary issues, and offer quality customer service by greeting members and guiding tours. Maintain required paperwork for program tracking and grant documentation. Drive youth to and from activities and attend board meetings, trainings, and staff meetings as requested.
Required Qualifications
- First Aid & CPR certified
- Pass TB test
- Pass FBI/DOJ Live Scan and overall background check
- Must be approved through insurance and policies as a driver
- Must be able to stand, stoop, reach and bend
- Requires the mobility of arms to reach and dexterity of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects
- May require the ability to stand for long periods
- May require the ability to walk/travel without a vehicle long distances (2 to 3 miles)
- May need to attend evening meetings and/or travel within and out of Butte County to attend meetings as requested
Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Recreation, Child Development or equivalent experience in related field a plus
- Knowledge of youth development principles, education programs, expanded learning practices, mentoring, coaching, and positive behavior guidance a plus
