Job Summary
Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates programs across education, athletics, arts & crafts, technology, and games room; develops healthy relationships with members; plans and organizes daily noncompetitive activities for drop-in members; initiates new programs, promotes participation, and identifies opportunities for program enhancement; monitors program achievement and budget, recruits and manages volunteers, engages parents, and maintains a safe, productive club environment; participates in required trainings and Safe Passages Pick-Up Program; requires ability to interpret BGCGH programs and philosophy; strong communication and computer skills are needed; two years of youth/family experience and a high school diploma are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; Texas driver’s license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience working with youth and families
- Demonstrated ability and interest in working with youth
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Word & Excel)
- Must interpret Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston programs and philosophy
- Valid Texas driver’s license preferred (may be required at some Club locations)
- Adhere to BGCGH Employee Code of Conduct
