Job Summary
Conduct daily supervision and care for up to 15 campers across on-campus and off-campus operations, including transportation, housing, activities, and discipline. Manage camper logistics by driving shuttles, administering medication per nurse directives, and enforcing curfew and safety protocols. Maintain cabin cleanliness, security, and organization while leading house orientations, morning meetings, and evening roll calls. Assist with setup and tear-down procedures, document damages, and handle in-between sessions for stay-over campers. Arrive early to all shifts, attend pre-camp training, and remain flexible to evolving weather and operational conditions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age by start date
- CPR w/AED & First Aid Certified prior to start date
- Valid US Drivers License
- Must be available to start work in Oregon on June 12th
- Experience working with children as a leader
- Able to work unsupervised
- Well organized
- Must be able to repeatedly lift 75 pounds
- Must be able to move heavy luggage
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to ride a bicycle
- Must be physically able to participate in all activities that We Are Camp offers
- Must be able to verbally communicate with campers, staff and parents
- Must be able to provide information in a coherent manner
- Must be able to follow all ACA requirements and standards
- Must agree to random drug tests or drug tests required after any accident or Workers Compensation claim
- Must agree to follow all We Are Camp employee personnel policies and regulations found in the Employee Handbook and Staff Training Manual
