Job Summary
Youth Counselor in Gainesville, FL who will provide mental health and substance abuse counseling to youth referred by DJJ Circuit Eight. Responsibilities include completing diagnostic mental health and substance abuse evaluations, creating and reviewing treatment plans, delivering therapy services tailored to individual risks and needs, submitting monthly progress notes, and attending weekly supervision with a licensed supervisor. Requires a Master's Degree in a related field and training/experience in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and TF-CBT; position supports flexible scheduling and may include virtual case-by-case work; full-time with benefits and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy or related field
- Training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, structural family therapy, and other behaviorally based treatments are preferred
