Job Summary
Youth Counselor position supports youth facing mental health crises in a crisis program. Responsibilities include implementing therapeutic interventions, supporting daily activities, and ensuring client safety while engaging with clients in a community setting.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with youth in a residential, shelter or crisis program
- Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain 'qualified' status.
- Must be able to successfully complete company’s physical job demands document.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance when using own vehicle for company business.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates mastery of basic computer skills.
- Successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training with a score of 70% or greater.
- Successful completion of Medication Administration class with a score of 80% or greater.
Additional Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
