Job Summary
Coordinate the 2.5-week summer youth program, recruit participants and volunteers, schedule speakers and culturally appropriate activities, collaborate with staff and volunteers, manage the program budget and equipment inventory, prepare facilities and ensure post-event cleanup, ensure adherence to liability forms and waivers, build positive relationships with youth, provide mentorship in a safe and inclusive environment, address participant behavior using trauma-informed approaches, adapt activities for diverse ages/language levels, follow child protection and safeguarding policies, track attendance and engagement, assist with program evaluation and outcome reporting, co-lead daily activities such as games, workshops, field trips, or educational sessions, ensure activities are engaging and developmentally appropriate, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet MVR eligibility requirements.
- Extremely detail-orientated; excellent time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and resolve problems/issues promptly and effectively.
- Ability to work well on a team in a synergistic work environment, a flexible and motivated team player.
