Job Summary
Support and encourage residents to carry out daily routines and achieve goals outlined in their service plans. Take residents on activities, job searching, and volunteer opportunities while administering resident medication. Maintain accurate record keeping for individual client files, daily data entry, and critical incidents, plus daily follow-up via email and voicemail. Communicate shift status and critical information updates with other staff, and attend bi-weekly individual supervision and weekly meetings. Contribute to the overall growth of the supported housing program. This full-time overnight role runs Monday through Friday from 1:30 am to 9:30 am.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum one year experience working with at-risk youth in a residential setting
- Equivalent experience to minimum one year working with at-risk youth in a residential setting
- Knowledge of adolescent development including mental health and substance abuse issues
- Knowledge of adolescent development including trauma
- Knowledge of adolescent development including attachment issues
- Knowledge of adolescent development including complex family dynamics
- Knowledge of adolescent development including developmental challenges
- Knowledge of adolescent development including educational issues
- Knowledge of life skills work including meal preparation
- Knowledge of life skills work including budgeting
- Knowledge of life skills work including cleaning
- Knowledge of life skills work including personal hygiene
- Knowledge of life skills work including job readiness/employment skills
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and set limits
- Commitment to the value of diversity with respect to gender, race, age, socio-economic level, sexual orientation, and religion
- Adherence to agency code of ethics and all policies and procedures
- Flexibility and travel for activities, client appointments
