Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed case management and crisis counseling to youth in the community, coordinating individualized plans to address personal, educational, behavioral, and emotional needs. Deliver on-site, crisis, and short-term case management, including intakes, risk assessments, safety plans, and referrals to external services. Maintain detailed documentation, support LGBTQ youth, collaborate with external agencies to coordinate workshops and resources, advocate for youth, supervise volunteers and interns, and contribute to program data, reports, and scheduling to support ongoing programming for Youth & Family Services.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social services or related field preferred
- LCSW preferred
- 2+ years of social services experience preferred
- Knowledge of Chicago’s youth and adult homelessness networks and organizations
- Experience with housing programs and tenant issues
- Experience working with vulnerable youth
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingual/bicultural desirable
