Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed care to at-risk youth ages 6-17 in a therapeutic environment. As a Part-time or PRN Youth Care Worker, supervise daily routines and activities, encourage participation in group discussions and programs, promote healthy coping strategies and emotional regulation, foster an emotionally safe space, support development of individualized treatment plans, and help manage conflicts through positive communication and mediation. Responsibilities include documenting progress for the Treatment Team, building trusting relationships, upholding health, hygiene, and safety standards, and modeling patient, consistent behavior. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of youth experience preferred, 21+ with NC driver’s license, and successful background and drug screening. Minimum weekend availability required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience with youth (ages 6-17) preferred
- Must be 21+ years old with a valid NC driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to self-regulate
- Coachable, dependable, and team-oriented
