Job Summary
Overnight Youth Care Worker responsible for teaching life skills, monitoring youth behavior, and creating a safe, positive living environment. Responsibilities include supporting youth academic development, transporting youth to appointments/school/activities, assisting with intake and departure documentation, and participating in mediation and planning conferences with youth and families. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, CPR and personal restraint training obtained during pre-service, and the ability to handle stressful situations indoors and outdoors. This role is based in New Orleans and involves full-time overnight shifts with rotating holidays and weekends. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- CPR and nationally recognized personal restraint model to be obtained during pre-service training
- Ability to transport youth to appointments, school, and activities
- Able to work overnight shifts and rotating holidays/weekends
- Strong communication and mediation skills
- Ability to monitor youth behavior in both indoor and outdoor settings
