Youth Care Worker

Job Summary
Provide physical and emotional care to adolescents in a group-home setting (ages 12-18) across three Illinois locations. As a Full-time Youth Care Worker, you will supervise residents, collaborate with the Group Home Team to plan and carry out recreational and therapeutic activities, enforce policies, manage funds for client services, and ensure safety and proper supervision. You will perform data entry and maintain resident files, assist with life-skills training, and participate in ongoing training and QA initiatives. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field, a valid driving record, strong organizational and decision-making skills, and be available for weekend and/or evening shifts with travel to Naperville, Lisle, and Downers Grove. CPR/First Aid certifications are required, and you may mentor new staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services/related field from an accredited school
- Minimum age of 21
- Must have & maintain acceptable driving record
- Comfortable working with children ages 12-18
- Must possess excellent organizational and decision-making skills & be flexible and willing to work weekend and/or evening shifts
- Must have demonstrated ability to work appropriately and effectively with the adolescent population
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word required
- Must have flexibility on weekends and holidays and be able to travel to all three locations
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Ability to participate in ongoing training, staff meetings and meet all Agency requirements
