Job Summary
Youth Care Worker responsible for direct supervision of unaccompanied children during 2nd shift, maintaining line-of-sight, overseeing activities, ensuring safety, and providing care in accordance with contract agency policies. Responsibilities include supervising recreation, meals, transitions between activities, reporting to management, maintaining a safe environment, evacuating if needed, and supporting staff in safety and administrative tasks. Requires bilingual English/Spanish ability, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of relevant experience; must hold a valid Texas driver’s license and TB screening clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
- At least 1 year experience with children in child welfare, medical, or social service settings is required
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Record of tuberculosis screening showing the employee is free of contagious TB
