Youth Care Specialist Supervisor - AMIkids Acadiana

Supervise team members and youth in accordance with operational policies to ensure safety and security, while notifying leadership of incidents outside policy parameters. Manage scheduling to maintain required coverage ratios, provide performance feedback, and complete evaluations for direct reports. Instruct youth on facility maintenance, supervise equipment handling, and participate in academic, vocational, and motivational activities. Act as an advisor and role model, communicate necessary information, and utilize the Behavior Modification System for redirection and coaching. Prevent and intervene in altercations using authorized training methods, assist in establishing conduct and discipline, and lead interdisciplinary meetings. May dispense medication, administer first aid and CPR, conduct emergency evacuations, operate institute vehicles, and transport youth. Participate in day or overnight trips, special activities, and recreational sports, potentially requiring extended 16-hour workdays and 24-hour on-call status. Maintain crisis intervention, physical restraint, CPR, and First Aid certifications, attend all required training, and complete performance reviews for submission to ED.
