Job Summary
As a Youth Care Specialist, you will provide trauma-sensitive supervision ensuring youth safety, participate in treatment team meetings, apply Safe Crisis Management techniques, and facilitate daily routines that promote emotional safety. Key responsibilities include hands-on instruction in life skills, accurate documentation of progress, and the maintenance of ethical standards of care. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to trauma-informed approaches and possess strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- A commitment to trauma-informed principles, including safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
- Experience identifying and implementing solutions that ensure inclusive participation and opportunity.
- A proven ability to leverage relevant qualifications to inform healing-centered strategies.
- Strong communication skills to distribute clear, compassionate, and culturally responsive information.
- Dedication to continuous learning, including trauma-informed awareness through new hire and annual training.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience 1 year in direct youth care
Additional Requirements
- Required to pass physical examination.
- Required to obtain and maintain training and certification as mandated by Licensing Regulations.
