Job Summary
Youth Care Specialist responsible for supervising youth ages 10-17 in a shelter, monitoring daily resident activities, coordinating intake processes, and assisting with program documentation. The role includes implementing and monitoring client case plans, ensuring 24-hour direct care coverage with a focus on safety, supervising meals and chores, coordinating transportation as needed, and collaborating with the Program Manager. Required skills include strong organization, written and verbal communication, dependability, discretion, good judgment, and the ability to interact effectively with youth, families, and staff. CPR/First Aid certification, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance are required; heavy lifting and physically active duties are involved. The position is not remote or hybrid and requires weekend shifts. Education requirement is HS diploma or equivalent.
