Job Summary
Direct and safely supervise all youth in accordance with operational and contractual requirements, providing guidance on behavior choices and teaching social, self-help, academic, and living skills. Prevent and intervene in altercations using state-mandated training methods, while coaching youth on personal responsibility, social skills, and community living. Conduct overnight bed checks, document incidents in shift logs, and communicate timely updates to team members and supervisors. Administer first aid and CPR during emergencies, maintain equipment compliance, and transport students as needed. Assist with day trips, facility cleaning, and ground maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum one-year related experience within an educational or youth service program
- preferably working with troubled youth
- Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification by nationally recognized organization
- Attend and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state and contract requirements
