Job Summary
Oversee daily supervision of clients in a residential program, providing therapeutic environments that address physical, mental, academic, and emotional needs while maintaining safety and facility standards. Assist clients with daily living tasks, self-care skills, and behavioral support to achieve service plan goals within a Trauma-Informed Care framework. Transport clients to appointments and activities, conduct house meetings, and implement recreation schedules that foster life skills and family reunification. Maintain confidentiality, document incidents within 24 hours, and collaborate with caseworkers and support systems to advocate for client transitions. Complete required training, administer medications as directed, and ensure compliance with all licensing and agency standards while working 24/7/365.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Maintain a Texas driver's license within 90 days of establishing Texas residency
- Acceptable driving record
- Willingness to transport clients
- Ability to successfully complete behavioral management de-escalation course
- Physical ability to use authorized crisis intervention techniques
- Understanding of children, youth, and families in crisis
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a human service field from an accredited college or university
- Six months of direct care and positive guidance experience of youth, young adults, or families in a residential or professional setting
- Effective listening and communication skills
