Job Summary
The Youth Care Professional will provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for residential youth, monitor and document behaviors, participate in educational and recreational activities, and collaborate with other departments to meet treatment goals. Candidates must demonstrate empathy, have relevant educational or life experience, and be at least 21 years old. A Bachelor’s degree, Child Development Teaching Permit, or related qualifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test.
- Possess a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
- Must possess one of the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Child Development Teaching Permit, 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, Psychology, certification as an Alcohol or Drug Counselor, or one year of full-time experience in a group home, therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program.

- Relevant life experience in child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice, either as a mentor or caregiver.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect.
