Job Summary
The Youth Care Professional III focuses on delivering relationship-based, competence-centered, and trauma-informed solutions to youth and families. This role involves mentoring junior staff, executing treatment and behavior management plans, managing activities, and maintaining a safe living environment. Key responsibilities include supervising youths, responding to emergencies, maintaining documentation, and providing life skills training. Candidates are required to have at least a high school diploma, relevant work experience, and CPR certification, alongside strong problem-solving abilities and good judgment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 months’ work experience in residential care environment
- CPR certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire
- Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year
- Clean driving record
Additional Requirements
- May be required to physically restrain clients weighing between 50 lbs. and 300 lbs.
