Job Summary
Engage youth and families in trust-based relationships to support transitions, community interaction, and independence. Maintain vigilance and ratios to ensure resident safety while executing after-school activities, outings, and appointments. Provide mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care. Complete medical record documentation and daily logs. Supervise residents using trauma-informed approaches and apply crisis prevention, de-escalation, and approved physical restraints when necessary. Respond to emergency situations and safety issues per regulatory protocols. Work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR certification
- Unrestricted, valid NYS driver's license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record
